Auditions for the Royal Trumpeteers of the 81st Mountain State Forest Festival will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at the Elkins First United Methodist Church. There will be a mandatory parent/participant meeting beginning at 6:30 pm, with auditions immediately following the parent meeting. Any Randolph County student in 9th through 12th grade for the fall term is eligible to audition.

Each student auditioning will be required to play a prepared fanfare and sight-read a fanfare. Additionally, students auditioning will be judged on an original paragraph on “Why I Want To Be A Royal Trumpeteer.” An educator reference, including an attendance and grade report, as well as a personal reference will be required.
