Entry forms will be accepted until 6:00 PM on the day of the event, Tuesday, September 30, 2025. A $25.00 fee will be charged to any applicant that has a check that is returned for non-sufficient funds.

Applicants will be notified of acceptance as a contestant in the Mountain State Forest Festival Talent Show by email or telephone on or before Monday, September 29, 2025.

RELEASE: By signing this form, I release the Mountain State Forest Festival from any and all personal injury, illness (including COVID-19), or property damage that I may incur as a result of my participation in the Mountain State Forest Festival.

Mountain State Forest Festival Talent Show Rules and Regulations
1. Contestants will be performing with all Age Division and Genres.

2. Contestants will be selected from all entries and notified of their acceptance to compete on or before Monday, September 29, 2025.

3. CDs/jump drives may be picked up after the show.

4. The talent submitted on the CD/jump drive/web link must be the talent performed at the Talent Show.

5. A random drawing will be held prior to the show to determine the order of performance. All contestants must check-in with the registration table by 6:30 pm.

6. All contestants must be ready to perform or sing when they are called to the stage. Failure to report when called will result in disqualification.

7. Each contestant will have a maximum of five (5) minutes to set up and prepare to perform.

8. Each contestant will be allowed to perform, not to exceed a total of seven (7) minutes. If maximum time is exceeded, five (5) points will be deducted from your total score and your performance will be halted.

9. The Mountain State Forest Festival will provide a sound system for contestants. This does not include musical instrument classification. It is the contestant’s responsibility to bring any instruments needed for the performance. If using CD accompaniment, please have the song recorded, cued, and ready to play. If music is being played from a cell phone, the contestant must provide someone to operate it. The sound technician is not permitted to handle personal devices.

10. Mountain State Forest Festival plaques and cash prizes will be awarded the evening of the Talent Show for 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place amongst all contestants.
