Bass Fishing Classic
Description:
The Mountain State Forest Festival annual Bass Classic Fish Tournament will be Opening Ceremony Saturday from 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM, originating at the public boat dock on the Tygart Valley River in South Elkins.
There is a 20 boat (two persons per boat) maximum, with cash prizes totaling $1,000.00 (if tournament is full) being awarded to the top six finishers. The first place team will be given trophies. An additional cash “Big Lunker Award” will be presented for the biggest individual fish caught. Entrants are only permitted to use artificial lures...no live bait. All fish caught are held in live wells.
Registration fee of $75.00 includes Lunker Pot
The public is invited, and the weigh-in will begin at approximately 3:00 PM on the Downtown Stage.
The tournament attracts some really great fisherman and everyone is invited to come on by...you especially may want to stop by before 3:00 as the boats come in with their prize fish for weigh-in.”
